Case note 01
The growth desk sent a twelve-slide Friday pack. Eight of those slides were the same DAU line in different colours. After Audience Insight Studio they cut the pack to three pages: a returning-household cohort, a first-order cohort that never came back after a failed PromptPay attempt, and a limitation paragraph about undercounted LINE Mini App sessions.
They did not hire us to run the product. Six weeks later the CPO still asked for DAU in the appendix. The appendix is where it belongs. Arun still argues with module two’s pace; the memo format survived that argument.
Case note 02
An operations analytics pair in Bangkok sat Retention Signal Lab plus a Snapshot Desk critique. Their original report treated every completed trip as equal. The rewrite split airport returners, late-night entertainment corridors, and weekday office rails — audiences their dispatch leads already used in speech, just never on a chart.
Supply hours did not jump because of a workshop. What changed was which chart opened the meeting. They still bounce some of our vocabulary (“cartography” did not land with drivers’ ops). We kept their words instead.
